How much does transportation between the airport and the hotel cost?
Shared shuttle transportation costs $250 MXN per person. If you prefer more privacy, private transportation costs $900 MXN. We're happy to help you coordinate your transfer before you arrive.
What will the weather be like during my stay in Bacalar?
Weather can vary from day to day, so we recommend checking a forecast app closer to your arrival date for up-to-date information. The Lagoon of Seven Colors is waiting for you no matter the season.
What activities or tours can I do besides visiting the lagoon?
We have a full catalog of local tours and activities, including pricing and what each one includes. Reach out to us and we'll gladly share the complete PDF — we just need a contact number to help you coordinate.
Is parking guaranteed?
Yes, we always confirm a parking space for your vehicle during your stay.
Do the rooms have a minibar?
Yes, all of our rooms include a minibar. In addition, each room has many other amenities that will make your stay truly comfortable.
Can I rent bicycles near the hotel?
Yes. Ten minutes from the hotel, Buho Beach Club offers bicycle rentals. You can also store them safely in our gated parking area throughout your stay.
Is the area safe for getting around by bike or car?
Bacalar's tourist area has security patrols, and at the hotel we add an extra layer of peace of mind with a security team that carries out ongoing monitoring and rounds.
Does the hotel have access to the Lagoon of Seven Colors?
Yes, we have direct, privileged access to the Lagoon of Seven Colors. We also have our own cenote, a crystal-clear swimming area, and the option to kayak to a second cenote, Cenote de Cocalitos.
Why is boat navigation closed on Wednesdays?
Every Wednesday, the Port Authority (Capitanía de Puerto) closes navigation on Laguna de Bacalar by official regulation, as part of the measures to preserve this natural resource. This is not a hotel policy — it's a rule that applies to the entire lagoon.
How far is the hotel from the main points of interest?
From the hotel, downtown Bacalar is approx. 2.7 km away (approx. 7 minutes by car or 35 minutes on foot). The Tren Maya station is approx. 7.1 km away (approx. 15 minutes by car or taxi), and Los Rápidos is approx. 14 km away (approx. 20 minutes by car). Downtown Chetumal is approx. 40 km away (approx. 43 minutes by car), and Chetumal Airport is approx. 39 km away (approx. 40 minutes by car). Ichkabal is approx. 45 km away (approx. 70 minutes by car).
